Lufthansa's New Look!

About a month after speculation of Lufthansa’s new look, their new brand was revealed in a spectacle of a show on Wednesday night in Frankfurt. At the revealing, the company and guests celebrated the famous crane’s 100th anniversary. Which the new livery was created for. The grey engines and belly is now white and the deep blue on the tail now continuing down the fuselage and the crane is now painted an elegant white. The first aircraft to be painted in the new livery was Lufthansa’s first Boeing 747-8i, D-ABYA. The second aircraft was D-AISP one of their Airbus A321-200s. As for the yellow, the colour lives on with a welcome panel by the boarding doors and in staff uniforms.

The two aircraft had gone on a tour around Europe visiting airports displaying the new branding. D-ABYA had also made it’s first international flight after the repainting from Frankfurt to New York.

CEO and Chairman of Lufthansa, Carsten Spohr said “Lufthansa has changed and is more modern and successful than ever.” “From now on, this will also be visible to the public through a new design.” Lufthansa had also updated their slogan from “Nonstop you.” to “Say yes to the world.”.

This year, the airline plans to have about 40 aircraft painted into the new modern look. The repainting programme for all of Lufthansa’s aircraft is set to take an astonishing seven years.

In my opinion; Lufthansa had made an outstanding step forward, opening up a new view and perspective of the company and refreshing their brand.
